Galleries

I have set up various galleries, not in chronological order but by categories.

Many things happened in Nepal. Be it the lunch with the monks, the summitting of Kala Pattar or the party of the Nepali Armed Police with Arne and me as special guests. Just read the diary we have set up. Every day is ended by a "Quote of the day".

In the following galleries, you can find the main actors of our Nepal trip (people), Nepal's capital (Kathmandu), the cultural highlights we encountered in the Sherpa region (culture - mainly Buddhism), animals and flowers (nature), our long and exhausting walks (trekking), Sagarmatha how the mountain is called in nepali (Mt. Everest), other peaks we saw (mountains) and last but not less important the person who always gives me strength (little mouse).

Furthermore, see some videos (a roundview of the Everest region, a buddhist ceremony and how the soldiers get ready for lunch).

As featured song we have enclosed a typical Nepali song: Resam Piriri, performed by our 18-year-old tough porter: Pine

As special feature we have the courtesy translation by Gelu Sherpa of the army's emergency proclamation - enjoy.
